Typically one to two years depending on traffic and hardware. Locks report low battery well in advance, and system health monitoring means you find out from an alert rather than a lockout.

Can I mix hardwired and wireless on one system?

Yes, and that’s what we recommend for most buildings. All major platforms support both under a single interface.

What if I can't run cable at all?

Then you go wireless, and it works. Historic buildings, leased suites, and post-construction retrofits are exactly the problem wireless was built to solve.

Does wireless work on exterior doors?
